ANIMETAL USA starring:

Mike Vescera as METAL-RIDER
Chris Impellitteri as SPEED KING
Jon Dette as TANK

The phrase "metal super group" was custom-made for the newly launched ANIMETAL USA. Comprised of singer Mike Vescera (OBSESSION/ex-LOUDNESS) starring as METAL-RIDER, bassist Rudy Sarzo (BLUE OYSTER CULT, ex-OZZY OSBOURNE, QUIET RIOT, WHITESNAKE, DIO) as STORMBRINGER, guitarist Chris Impellitteri (IMPELLITTERI) as SPEED KING, and drummer JON DETTE (ex-SLAYER, TESTAMENT) [who replaced Scott Travis (JUDAS PRIEST) due to the ongoing success of Priest's 'Epitaph Tour] as TANK, there is no arguing the stellar track record of the group's pedigree. And as if that wasn't enough metal fury for you, former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman arranged the tunes (along with Impellitteri). As a result, the new band contains all the metallic riffs, solos, and powerful vocals you could hope for, as evidenced by their self-titled debut, which has already been gold-certified in Japan (since its October 12th release), and hitting the #1 spot on Amazon's Hard Rock Heavy Metal chart and #2 on Amazon's Anime chart in Japan (within the first 24 hours of the announcement of ANIMETAL USA). Additionally, the members manage to put a new spin on the heavy metal concept, as they've embraced an anime-driven look, complete with futuristic make-up and costumes. And the group certainly delivers on the concert stage, as evidenced by their live debut, which occurred at Japan's Loud Park 2011 Festival, in front of thousands of fans (on a bill that included the likes of Whitesnake, Arch Enemy, the Darkness, and Trivium, among other renowned acts).
